Asking for help from Giving Kitchen

After being involved in a 5-car accident, Gerri-Lynn asked for help from Giving Kitchen. She broke her sternum and foot, had a collapsed lung, and required therapy 5 days a week to heal from her injuries. After missing a few weeks of work, she still needed to find a place to live once she could get around.

Gerri-Lynn asked for help from Giving Kitchen and mentioned her amazing case manager walked her through the application process.

With Giving Kitchen’s support, Gerri-Lynn can focus on recovering and healing.

She mentions it took a lot of stress off of her mother because she was not able to help her financially. It allowed her to keep her job because her car was totaled in the accident. With the support of Giving Kitchen she was able to receive financial assistance to help with her new home, and received stability network resources to help with her housing, finances, and affordable furniture.

“He let me know everything I needed to send in to ask for help. He made it easy at a time when I was super stressed.

I had to send paycheck stubs, police reports, and hospital records. I don’t know what I would have done without Giving Kitchen. I would have been homeless, said Gerri-Lynn.”
