Giving Kitchen Celebration at Ovation
Please join James Beard Award winners Giving Kitchen and The Bitter Southerner as we celebrate the 2024 James Beard Award nominees and Giving Kitchen's milestone of serving 19,000 food service workers in crisis.
On June 9th, from 2:30PM – 4:30PM, raise a glass with Giving Kitchen as we celebrate the 2024 James Beard nominees and share news of what Giving Kitchen is doing to assist food service workers in crisis across the nation. Guests will enjoy libations and tasty bites as Giving Kitchen’s Founder, Jen Hidinger-Kendrick, provides insight into our work, an update on our national expansion and share GK’s vision to serve 100,000 food service workers annually by 2030 though a community where crisis is met with compassion and care. The Bitter Southerner co-founders, Kyle Tibbs Jones and Dave Whitling, will be on hand to do what they do best: bring folks together who work to build a Better South.
Giving Kitchen received a James Beard Foundation Humanitarian Award in 2019. The Bitter Southerner has received four James Beard Foundation awards for Food Coverage in a General Interest Publication, since 2020.
