Alex McIntosh
Foundations Manager
Alex is a Georgia native and has lived all over the state, from St. Simons to Dahlonega, Gainesville, Suwanee and now Atlanta. He graduated from Georgia State University with degrees in economics and philosophy, and co-founded a nonprofit called X Books, which sends books to people presently incarcerated.
Prior to joining Giving Kitchen, Alex worked for the Atlanta Community Food Bank fundraising from various institutional sources and enabling meals for neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Like everyone at Giving Kitchen, Alex is motivated by a desire to make tangible and substantive impact for his community.
In his free time, Alex enjoys cooking, cheering on the Hawks and the Dawgs, thrifting, and exploring all the incredible neighborhoods that Atlanta has to offer.
